Description
The Dorset coast has many sites of key geomorphological importance in the British Isles, which are frequently the subject of field investigation by geologists and geographers.
The sections in this field guide are of two types. The geology and landslide types and processes are designed to provide the reader with the necessary background information to get maximum benefit and enjoyment from site visits.
Both sections are not location specific but support other chapters where site itineraries are provided. The remaining sections include notes on access and suggested routes for examining key sites in the area.
