Elsevier has decided to sunset Geofacets at the end of 2023. The Millennium Edition member benefit was powered by Geofacets. The last day for Members to access Millennium Edition will be December 31, 2023. Further information in FAQs.
The Geological Society of London (GSL) has partnered with Elsevier to provide GSL members with the opportunity to utilise the power of the Geofacets platform for accessing geological maps from the Lyell Collection.

37,500+ maps from the books and journals in the Lyell Collection, from 2000 to present, with 26,000+ georeferenced maps.
- All maps are downloadable and include metadata, e.g. geographic coordinates, map surface area, datum and projection for georeferenced maps, and more.
- Includes reference information about the maps and the associated articles.

How to access Geofacets
For GSL members: To access Geofacets-GSL Millennium Edition, please log in to the Society website with your email address and member password, then navigate back to this page and click on the access link. The link is only visible when you log in to this site as a member.
