Geography Teacher Training Scholarships
With record numbers of pupils studying geography at GCSE and A Level, there is a greater need to recruit the next generation of geography teachers.
The Society is delighted to be working with the Department for Education to run the RGS-IBG Scholarship Programme for geographers starting their teaching in the autumn of 2018.
These prestigious scholarships will provide outstanding trainees with significant financial and professional support.

Eligibility
You will need:
- A strong commitment to geographical education and able to demonstrate this alongside any relevant experience
- An excellent proven, or predicted academic record in geography holding a first or 2:1 Hons degree (or 2:2 with significant experience), or Master's or PhD
- To secure a training place on an eligible non-salaried school or university led geography teacher training course in England for the 2018/2019 academic year
