Call for Abstracts: deadline Friday 27 February

The 2015 Metamorphic Studies Group Research in Progress meeting and AGM will be held in the School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds, on Monday 16 March. We encourage contributions (talks and posters) on any aspect of metamorphic petrology and the link between metamorphism and other geological processes. Presentations from postgraduate students are particularly encouraged and a prize of £200 is offered for the best student presentation. The RIP meeting is a good opportunity to air new developments or ideas, or perhaps to rehearse a presentation for forthcoming meetings.

Dr Matthias Konrad-Schmolke (Potsdam) will be giving the Keynote lecture and Dr Giles Droop (Manchester) will be giving an Invited lecture.

Abstract submission

Abstracts are now invited from those who wish to make an oral or poster presentation. The abstract should be a Word document in Times Roman 12 pt font with title in bold capitals. It should not exceed 2 sides of A4 including diagrams and references. Any references should be listed in 8 pt font at the end of the text. Please send abstracts by email to Clare Warren by 5pm on Friday, 27 February 2015.

Please let Clare Warren know if you are planning on coming to this event so that we can cater accordingly.  Additionally, please contact Clare if you have any dietary or mobility requirements.
