What Are We Not Modelling?  And Does It Matter?

The Groundwater Modellers’ Forum is an established community but with its doors open to new members. Our regular conference is returning in October and we are looking forward to seeing old and new members.  For a full list of speakers and event programme, click here.

The conference will follow our traditional format of succinct lectures with plenty of time for discussion and our modellers’ fair, where presenters use posters, tools and other visualisations to demonstrate their latest developments and ideas.

The theme for this year’s conference is “What are we not modelling?  And does it matter?”.  We are looking forward to a challenging series of presentations that will make us review our simplifying assumptions and share insights about key processes that may be overlooked.  Our presenters come from a range of sectors and will show us findings from across the UK and the world.

We will be in central Birmingham (Priory Rooms, Bull Street) on Thursday 19th October.  New this year, we are including an option to attend online.  Although in-person interaction is very valuable, we are keen to open the conference to those for whom travel is difficult, or who are located overseas.  For bookings, please visit the Hydrogeological Group Webpage, taking care to select In Person or Remote.

We are thankful to our sponsor, Groundwater Science.  If you would like to sponsor us, please read about the benefits we offer here.
