Delination of Stratification_poster

The evening will be our final, special event marking the bicentenary year of the publication of William Smith’s ‘A Delineation of the Strata of England & Wales, with part of Scotland…’ (1815), the first geological map of a country ever produced.

Speaker

Dr Ted Nield
Due to overwhelming public demand, following our sold out event ‘Ghosts of the Museum’, the author and journalist Dr Ted Nield, BSc, PhD, FGS, will return to host the class based on the theories of the late Mr William Smith Esq.

Timing

Light refreshments will be served at 6.30pm, the class starting promptly at 7pm and ending around 9pm.

Booking

Dr Nield comments that his lecture’s usefulness to the general public cannot be overstated but alas numbers must be strictly limited.

Tickets cost £12 and can be booked by calling the number on the right

Alternatively, please email [email protected] for further information and to enquire about availability.
