Assessment and Reporting of Risk/Uncertainty aspects
- Introduction to risk and uncertainty;
- linking uncertainty with the vertical axis;
- Risk changes over project lifetime:
- Higher uncertainty in exploration; focus is on opportunities;
- Lower uncertainty at construction & operation stages but the impact of negative risks will be greater.
- Introduction to Risk assessment methods: SWOT analysis; Risk matrices; Bowtie method; etc.
- Using Table 1 as a framework for assessing uncertainty/risk
Speakers
Course modules will be presented by a range of different presenters all of whom have considerable experience in assessment of and reporting on Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves
Edmund Sides (Director and Principal Consultant at Orebody Risks Limited; Chairperson PERC) will deliver this session.
Registration
This is the final course in a 7 part series. Delegates can either register for courses individually or for the whole series at a discounted rate.
