Climate Change and Sustainability, Impacts and Innovation in Contaminated Land

To align with the Geological Society Year of Sustainability the Contaminated Land Group (CLG) is pleased to announce they will be hosting a conference on Climate Change and Sustainability, Impacts and Innovation in Contaminated Land. The conference will be held on the 20th and 21st October and is to be held in person in the City Hall Conference Rooms, Bristol.

The aim of the conference is to bring together an interdisciplinary mix of presenters and a broad spectrum of perspectives on sustainability and climate change, focusing on the future stewardship of contaminated land.

Presentations

The broad themes of the conference include the impacts of climate change on brownfield sites, changes to drivers for contaminated land development as a result of climate change, and sustainability and resilience strategies and guidance. The conference will be split into two sessions with presentations from industry leaders, an open discussion on current industry guidance and an early careers poster competition.
