About the event
At this online event, several speakers will discuss their experiences with Geological Society Chartership.
Josh Dunlop will set the scene and briefly discuss the process of Chartership with the Geological Society, including a 'route map' from beginning to end. He will then open to input from Jane, Joe and Tom to share their experiences of the CGeol journey. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session for attendees to ask speakers any questions.
GSL Chartership Officer Eleanor Williams will also be in attendance to take questions during the Q&A.

Speakers
- Jane Middleton
Jane Middleton has worked for AtkinsRéalis since January 2018, and is a Chartered Engineering Geologist. She completed a BSc in Geology at University of Southampton before a MSc in Engineering Geology at Portsmouth University. So far, Jane has spent a lot of her career on secondments across multiple sectors including a lot of site work.
- Joe Mazgajczyk
Joe graduated from University of Portsmouth with Geology BSc and Engineering Geology MSc, before joining Mott MacDonald in 2012. Joe has gained extensive site and design experience in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and contaminated land disciplines whilst working on projects such as Midland Metro, A417 ‘missing link’ and, most recently, High Speed 2 (HS2). Joe is Fellow of the Geological Society and a Chartered Geologist.
- Tom Hunt
Tom graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2016 with a BEng Engineering Geology and Geotechnics. Tom joined AtkinsRéalis in the same year and has gained a wide range of experience including: ground investigation specification, supervision, and management; data collection and interpretation; interpretive reporting; ground modelling; risk assessment; and construction supervision.
