SERG Early Careers Geoscientist Competition - CALL FOR PAPERS

The South East Regional Group is planning to hold its Early Careers Geoscientist competition on 10 September 2024 and warmly invite geoscientists within our region to enter.
The competition is open to early career geologists within 10 years of their first degree to present a geoscience related subject of up to 15 minutes in length. The panel of judges will assess both the quality of the presentation and the individual’s knowledge of the subject matter.
The winner will receive a cash prize of £100 and the Rory Mortimore Trophy. There will be a second prize of a book token.
They will also have the opportunity to go forward to the national competition at Burlington House. This is a good forum to show your ability and skills to other members of your local region and raise your profile within the geoscience community.

The deadline for entries is Saturday 31 August 2024.
