Professor Knut Bjorlykke
Knut Bjørlykke is Emeritus Professor at the University of Oslo, and has had a distinguished career in sedimentology, sedimentary geochemistry and petroleum geology. He has taught at Makerere University, Kampala, the University of California, the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Bern and Newcastle. In 1991 he received Statoil's Research Prize, and was appointed AAPG Distinguished Lecturer for Europe in 1996-7, and for North America in 2000. He received the AAPG Distinguished Educator Award for 2003, and the Brøgger Prize from the Norwegian Geological Society in 2009.
