Join Professor Alastair Ruffell as he explains how geological jigsaw pieces fit together to make Strangford Lough – from 240-million-year-old red sandstones at Mount Stewart, to the abundant greywacke islands in the west and The Narrows by Portaferry.

Attendees will enjoy astounding views, plus live video using rarely seen images of features below and above the water.

This event is part of Portaferry Heritage Fest – three days of activities and events celebrating the abundant built, cultural and natural heritage of Portaferry.
