Geosites project

Between March and July this year we received over 500 nominations via Twitter, Facebook and email, covering 360 different geosites in the UK and Ireland.
The final 100 will be decided based on public votes and the deliberations of an expert panel, and will be announced during Earth Science Week 2014 (13-19 October). The full list of nominations can be found at
