This new series of regional events will take place around the UK, starting in Plymouth on 2 October 2024. Regional events will be co-hosted by the Society and the various host institutions and will feature a topical research seminar by a local expert in their field, followed by a panel discussion. Topics of discussion will range from climate impacts upon the world's oceans, to those on land and in our atmosphere. These regional events will be fully hybrid, with sessions live-streamed online to ensure all Fellows and interested parties can attend free of charge.
The series will culminate in a flagship hybrid conference, which will take place at Burlington House, London, UK, on 8–9 September 2025. This conference will serve as a platform for geoscientists, researchers and industry professionals to come together to discuss the impact climate change is having upon the environment and how society can mitigate the changes.
