As part of the Mendip ROCKS! Festival of Geology, Dr Peter Hardy, author of 'The Geology of Somerset', will lead a field trip to see the De la Beche Unconformity, neptunian dykes and Jurassic fossil beds at Vallis Vale, nr Frome, Somerset.
Bring boots, waterproofs, lunch and drinks!
Target audience
Suitable for all - children 10+ welcome.
Venue
The group will meet at Mells river bridge, at Great Elm ST749492 (parking for 12 cars)
Cost
Donations of £5 pp welcome to Mendip Rocks!
